I really love the fact that you can choose your own finishes and hardware to create a one of a kind piece.

SOBU, owned by some serious talent in Oakland California, allows the natural character and variation in wood to be the highlight of each piece and use fabrics with natural fibers. They also use recycled aluminum and steel when they can find it. I just want to curl up on the Indigo lounge with my cocktail sitting on the Otto side table by my side. Anyone with me?

Hand crafted in Canada, Monte Design has the most beautiful + simple rocker. I'm most definitely recommending this to all my friends decorating a nursery. 

Finishing everything by hand, Duverre has created unique design-driven collections of knobs and pulls manufactured entirely from recycled aluminum. I just love the idea of 'purposeful' imperfections. I hope you turn to amazing companies like these using materials with environmentally friendly choices.
