When you have architecture this amazing to work with it, you can’t help but be inspired by it…at least, I can’t. Heinz Chapel, on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh, was the inspiration behind the wedding suite for this couple. The color palette of red, yellow and orange was chosen for this bright, summer day wedding. I began sketching pieces of the neo-Gothic style of the chapel with its stone vaults, high ceilings and arches, settling on one section which was then transformed into a pattern seen on the wedding invitation. All of the pieces, including response and accommodations cards, favor boxes, and thank you notes compliment the original design.
